Madam Butterfly

July 12th 2008 - Madam Butterfly

Open Air Opera at Grayshott Primary School

Following the success of "The Barber of Seville" last year, Opera Box have been invited back to perform Puccini's "Madam Butterfly."

This most dramatic story of love, passion, betrayal, sacrifice and honour, will be performed in Italian - the beautiful language in which it was written - with english sur -titles. Many of the famous arias and duets will be familiar, and you won't need to understand every word to follow the story.

As last year, The Fox and Pelican will host a delicious al-fresco pre-concert supper, and provide a bar service.

Max Bruch's violin concerto no 1 is probably one of the most loved concertos of all time.
